Wedding Planning Tips from Main Event Caterers

The team at Main Event Caterers has prepared these helpful tips for you...

Develop An Event Budget
  • Develop a realistic guest list – remember, you don’t have to invite every single person you, your fiancĂ© and your families know!
  • Prioritize your major vendor services in order of importance to you – do you really need a still photographer and a videographer?
  • Research vendors before you ask for bids – both reputation & pricing
Choose Your Vendors
The key to planning a successful event lies in the vendors that you choose.  Whether it’s a florist, DJ, photographer or caterer, choosing wisely will make the planning process as well as the day of your event a dream versus a nightmare.

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing a vendor is whether you feel a connection. You will be working closely with this person for the duration of your planning experience and should know that they understand your vision and have the ability to execute your dream.  In addition, make sure they:
  • Have extensive resources for providing any element you might need
  • Can give your event the time and dedication it deserves
  • Provide a complete package of offerings
  • Focus on exceptional quality product and service
  • Can guide you through all of the details & make suggestions where needed
  • Have the knowledge & skill to execute your vision for your wedding
  • Understand the focus/goal of your wedding
  • Take pride in exceeding your expectations
Choose a Reception Style
  • How much time do you have for your reception?
  • What traditional moments do you want to incorporate?
  • What is your focus – the music, the dancing, guests mingling, the food?
Whatever your style, taste or budget the dedicated team of event professionals at Main Event Caterers stand ready to Create Delicious for your special day and welcome your inquiries.
