If you want the best possible photos of your wedding but don't want to spend the day being photographed, you can help by working with your photographer on a list of the “must take” photos. Let everyone on the list know where and when the photos are being taken so time won't be lost looking for people. Usually the best time is immediately after the ceremony. Once the posed shots are made, your photographer can watch for those moments which capture the essence of the day -- the love and joy, pride and happiness, the smile and sometimes, the quiet tear.
